If the sensor does not work after installing the batteries, ensure the AA batteries (6*LR6) are inserted correctly, the switch is on, and the indicator light is working. To keep the lid open, continuous 5-second sensing will do so, and the indicator light will turn green. If there is no contact with the sensor within 5 minutes, the lid will automatically close.

To prevent rusting and peeling, avoid using the trash can in a humid environment, promptly clean any wet trash, and use a rust remover for minor stains. If the sensor stops working after prolonged use, replace the batteries, check the indicator light, ensure there are no obstructions, and clean the sensor area.
